John Ford’s “Quiet Man” film of 1952 sees Séan Thornton (John Wayne) return to Ireland, to Inisfree to settle in the town of his birth. He buys back “White O’Morn” the small thatched cottage where he and 7 generations of Thornton's were born. It was to this cottage that he brought his bride Mary Kate Danagher (Maureen O’Hara) to start their married life.
